Seduction of Girls Under 16

The Criminal Code, 1892, S.C. 1892, c. 29, s. 181.

[Seduction of girls under sixteen.]
181. Every one is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to two years’ imprisonment who seduces and has illicit connection with any girl of previously chaste character, of or above the age of fourteen years and under the age of sixteen years. R.S.C., c. 157, s. 3; 53 V., c.37, s.3.

211. Every one is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to two years’ imprisonment who seduces or has illicit connection with any girl of previously chaste character, of or above the age of fourteen years and under the age of sixteen years. 55-56 V., c. 29, s. 181; 56 V., c. 32, s. 1.


An Act to amend the Criminal Code, S.C. 1919-1920, c. 43, s. 4.

[Repealed.]

Note: "Seduction of girls between fourteen and sixteen" was repealed, but remained in the Criminal Code, as it was moved into the same section as "Carnally knowing girl under fourteen years" by the 1919-1920 statute.
